SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Talent and Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the organization
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruitment, and retention
- Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, trainings, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Manage and oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Identify staffing and recruitment needs; develop and implement best practices for hiring and talent management
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system
- Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to the Executive Management Team
- Develop and implement departmental budgets
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for staff
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration
- At least five years of human resources management experience is required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are highly preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS ABILITY The ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent computer skills and display proficiency in MS Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook). The ability to learn new software or apps quickly.
REASONING ABILITY The ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
