There is a Sign-On BONUS for this CNC Machinist 1st shift skilled labor position. The hourly wage range is from $25.00-$30.00.
Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking a CNC MACHINIST FOR OUR 1st SHIFT. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team.
You will build products using granite and other materials to be used in the semi-conductor industry and other industries. You will work in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. We are in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns.

1st shift Monday – Friday .
What will you do in this position?
Operate a variety of CNC Milling machines to safely produce products that meet all Starrett Tru-Stone quality requirements. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company expectations, requirements, and standards
How will you do it?
- Follow established work procedures, perform work assignments as required to meet safety, quality and production goals.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as indicators and vernier calipers.
- Blueprint reading and comprehension including lay out, measure, and mark material.
- Machines care and preventative maintenance
- Measure and examine machined parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Programming and 5 axis a plus.
What do you need to know?
- Basic knowledge of inspection tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
What experience/education do you need?
- Trade school or equivalent.
- At least 6 months CNC and manufacturing experience.
