We have an outstanding opportunity for a Customer Service/Order Management Representative to join our team in our corporate office in St. Charles, IL. This position will provide customer service to internal and external customers while working closely with management.
The ideal candidate will have a true passion for providing exceptional customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail oriented and tenaciously follow the order through to successful completion, ensuring all requirements are met, every step of the way.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer orders.
- Manage coordination of fulfillment, which includes expediting orders to ensure they are fulfilled properly and on time.
- Responsible for manual and EDI order entry.
- Collaboratively maintain a reference sheet of customers special order requirements.
- Verify price accuracy, unit of measure accuracy and cross reference to item index unique to each customer.
- Communicate with the Transportation Coordinator, operations, sales and accounting personnel on issues surrounding orders, scheduling, pricing and refunds/chargebacks.
- Support customer service by assisting with consumer calls regarding product issues.
- Back-up multi-line phone system and customer service incoming correspondence as needed.
- Maintain various spreadsheets and update Sharepoint.
- Provide assistance to others as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of customer service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; accurate typing, 10-key and data entry skills.
- Proven, exceptional customer service skills with a willingness to help out where needed.
- Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Highly articulate in both written and verbal communications.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team oriented, and have a strong desire to learn. Must have critical thinking, problem solving, change management and attention to detail skills working closely with customers in fulfilling orders.
