ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) reports directly to the Sales Manager or delegated authority. This role
is to assist in driving the growth of the recurring monthly revenue (RMR) through targeted sales and marketing
efforts and expand in the service-related business by creating and negotiating comprehensive service maintenance agreements. This role is to assist with generating new outside sales leads for new commercial business accounts related to selling low voltage systems that the company offers and increases revenue for new installations. The OSR’s primary responsibility will be to generate and secure orders for customers by visiting them in person. This position requires the OSR to spend most of the working hours actively selling outside the company premises. While working from home or at Company’s offices may occasionally be necessary to supplement OSR’s sales efforts, it should constitute a lesser portion of the weekly working hours. The essence of this role is to be in the field engaging with clients and prospects to drive sales.

RMR Expansion: Strategically promote and sell security monitoring services to boost recurring
monitoring revenue. Implement innovative sales tactics and marketing strategies to attract new
clients and retain existing ones.

Service & Maintenance Agreements: Develop, propose, and negotiate service maintenance
agreements tailored to client needs, ensuring long-term relationships and continuous service
engagement.

Market Penetration: Identify and penetrate new market segments, leveraging market research and
networking to discover and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
2. Performance Goals and Quotas:-
Sales Targets: Set, achieve, and exceed defined sales performance goals and quotas. Employ creative
and proactive sales approaches to secure new business and drive consistent revenue growth.

Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their security needs,
and providing tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.

Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, regularly updating CRM systems with client
interactions, sales progress, and forecasted deals.
3. Cold-Calling and Outside Sales:

Consistently make cold calls and outside sales visits to seek new business and meet both
individual and business goals.

Attract new customers through a combination of field sales, phone sales, and direct marketing
efforts.
4. Proposal Creation and Presentation:-
Create detailed proposals for service & maintenance agreements, tests, inspections, preventative
maintenance, cloud services, and central station monitoring.

Make necessary sales presentations to customers and management as requested.

Attending trade shows as needed to promote the Langston Security & Integration brand.
5. Product Knowledge and Service Insight:-
Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of all product lines and services offered.

Review testing & inspection reports with Service Technicians and the General Manager to
quantify service repair proposals based on system inspection discrepancies.
6. Collaboration and Coordination:-
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and
promotional materials that support sales initiatives and attract potential customers.

Cross-functional Synergy: Collaborate with the technical and support teams to ensure seamless
service delivery and client satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly and effectively. Partner with
internal departments to communicate job scopes and relay customer needs.
7. Professional Development and Industry Knowledge:-
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the
security industry and low voltage technology. Attending industry conferences, workshops, and
training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company
policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
8. Technical and Software Proficiency:-
Perform tasks using Microsoft Suite, Blue Beam, Adobe Docusign, and other software utilized by
the company.

Work within various websites and Company Software such as ServiceTitan and Trainual.
9. Customer Relationship Management:-
Make necessary site visits to establish client relationships.

Work with Vendors and Manufacturers to negotiate the best rates of services possible and
explore new monitoring services to market and grow the spectrum of services offered to
customers.
10. Administrative and Reporting Duties:-
Keep work organized and ensure clear communication and detail. Follow the value chains
created to ensure no gaps in communication. Clarify and verify information being supplied and
being received.

11. Compensation Structure:-
Base Salary and Commission: Competitive base salary complemented by an attractive
commission structure, reflecting individual sales performance and overall contribution to
business growth.

Bonus Incentives: Monthly bonus incentive opportunities based on sales acquired and
referenced in the Bonus & Commission Schedule. Other bonus structures could be available
based on meeting and exceeding tiered goals for selling and growing new RMR and service maintenance agreements, incentivizing high achievement and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of relevant Commercial & Industrial Multi Family Access Control, CCTV,
Alarm, Audio Visual sales experience.

3-5 years of professional experience in high-volume sales within a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency using CRM ServiceTitan software, experience strongly preferred but not required.
Sales Expertise:-
Demonstrated outside sales and cold calling experience.

Proven track record selling Commercial & Industrial Multi-Family Access Control, CCTV, Alarm, and Audio
Visual systems. Ability to provide sales achievement awards and supply business references that establish
rapport as a sales representative.
