About Our Client:
They are a leading property management company in the Mid-Atlantic region, known for their commitment to empowering team members to do the right things, in the right ways, for the right reasons. Their hotel is a market leader in service and guest experience, with over 250 rooms, 20+ suites, and over 40,000 sq. ft. of event space.
What You’ll Do:
· Actively prospect, solicit, qualify, and close new business for the hotel.
· Negotiate food and beverage rates, guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved guidelines.
· Produce and review catering contracts and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
· Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.
· Attend industry meetings and networking events to gain new business and stay abreast of industry trends.
· Assist in the completion of the Annual Marketing Plan, yearly budget, and monthly forecasts.
· Ensure proper collection of funds for meetings and events.
· Act as the liaison between clients and operating departments to ensure successful events and generate repeat business.
· Participate in hotel meetings and contribute to team projects.
· Maintain knowledge and compliance with COVID-19 restrictions and departmental policies.
What They’re Looking For:
· 2-3 years of demonstrated Catering Sales experience, preferably in hospitality or food and beverage environments with meeting space exceeding 15,000 sq. ft.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
· Proficiency in MS Office, Delphi fdc, Cvent, and Social Tables.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to perform basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction.
