We are hiring for a hybrid position for a Front Desk Receptionist / Coach who will be welcoming and assisting our students and their parents with class enrollments and questions, as well as coaching classes. The ideal candidate will love working with children, have excellent customer service skills, follow a consistent and reliable schedule, and make a positive impact on our customers with their enthusiasm for their job. The payrate for this position will be $21 per hour.
The schedule for this position will be:
Front Desk Receptionist:
Monday: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Friday: 3:00pm - 7:30pm
Saturday: 8:50am - 1:00pm
Coaching:
Wednesday: 3:30pm - 7:25pm
Thursday: 3:30pm - 7:25pm
Your Role:
Most importantly, you will create a warm and friendly environment, welcoming our students and their parents to the facility! You will be supporting our customers by answering questions via email, phone, and in-person, as well as assisting families to enroll in classes or change their schedules. You are the first person a family will see as they arrive at our facility, and your smile will invite them to return! No previous experience in gymnastics necessary, just patience, a desire to work with children, and a constantly positive attitude. We will teach you the rest during our paid training.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Accept front desk registrations; calculate and accept payments for all activities
- Manage class enrollments and make up attendees in accordance with our policies
- Update and manage all customer accounts accurately
- Maintain accurate attendance and make up records in class management software
- Communicate with managers and instructors regarding parent complaints and requests
- Answer phone, email, and in -person customer questions
- Manage event logistics (Birthday Party, Kid's Night Out, Camp) – registrations, payments, waivers, sign-in sheets, logistical support, attendance tracking
- Office support, holiday decorations, other duties as needed
- Manage and file electronic & paper files
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Warming students up with fun conditioning and fitness games like red light green light or floor is lava
- Spotting children as they learn how to do new skills
- Sharing in students' excitement as they nail a trick for the first time
- Keeping parents up to date on their children's progress
- Learning new techniques, skills, spotting methods, and progressions all the time
- Having fun!

Your Experience:
We would like to see at least one (1) year of experience working in an office environment, as well as previous customer service experience.
No gymnastics experience required, but exposure to gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, or dance is a plus.
Fine Print
A few requirements to note:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym.
- Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes.
- Ability to spot a gymnast, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds.
- Ability to move equipment including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maintain a consistent schedule. The kids need their coach to be in the gym!
