We are seeking
detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant t
join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, assisting in financial reporting, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
*Responsibilities:*
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness o financial data.
* Prepare and review journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for variances in financial performance.
* Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Support external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations.
* Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, complete remote deposits
* Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
* Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Provide support for special projects and initiatives, as needed.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Dental and/or Healthcare experience preferred.
* CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
* Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
