Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall success of our medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide patient education on various medical conditions and treatment plans
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
-Answer patient calls and call patient back with advice from clinician.
-Cross cover staff when needed
-Answering multi-phone line system
-Write letters of medical necessity to support prior authorizations.
-Complete any paperwork needed for prescription authorizations, medical orders, or medical forms
-Managing office email
-Manage medication samples ( documenting lot and expiration and dispensed date)
-Obtain and document vitals and reconcile medication list
-Perform EKGs in the office
-Perform buccal swabs if needed
-Be efficient in addressing patient calls
-Assist at the front desk as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements accurately
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills:
- Proficient in computer skills

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
