SUPERHERO JOB SUMMARY
The Wound Pros Healthcare IT Specialist (EMR) and IT Development Department is a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between our facilities, sales and marketing, and the technical team focusing on RITA, our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and healthcare IT solutions. Healthcare IT Specialist (EMR) attend scheduled in-service training for facilities and partners and liaise with the Sales and Marketing and EMR and IT Development Departments regarding app-related issues.
LOCATION
The Healthcare IT Specialist (EMR) role offers flexibility with the opportunity to work from home. Occasional travel may be required to effectively carry out assigned duties and collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS
- Technical Liaison and Support: Serve as the go-to technical expert for our healthcare facility partners, addressing all queries related to RITA. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the app's functionalities to provide accurate and helpful information.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging and informative demonstrations of the Facility Portal for potential clients. Highlight key features and benefits, showcasing how the app can streamline facility management processes and enhance operational efficiency. Available for one-on-one demonstrations if needed.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams and the Rita department. Act as a bridge between these departments to ensure a seamless and efficient communication flow. Your goal will be to facilitate the proper functioning of the app and cater to the specific needs of the facility portal.
- Meeting Participation: Regularly attend meetings with EMR, the IT development, and the sales departments to stay abreast of new technologies, updates, and strategic directions.
- Participate in these meetings, share suggestions, and ensure updates are properly noted. Communicate the relevant information to the appropriate teams and stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Healthcare IT Specialist (EMR) are responsible for reviewing training materials bi-annually and attending mandatory meetings to promote continuous learning, foster collaboration, and ensure that all tearrm members remain informed about the company’s developments and initiatives.
- Mode of Training: Healthcare IT Specialist (EMR) are responsible for remote and/or in-person training sessions.
ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information, Computer Science, Nursing, or other related areas.
- Technical Acumen: A strong grasp of healthcare IT and EMR systems.
- The ability to quickly learn and master new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- A foundational understanding of the PointClickCare platform is essential for this role. Must possess practical knowledge of its functionalities, integrations, and how it supports healthcare operations.
