Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Doctoral Level Therapist with a deep understanding of complex mental health issues to join our dynamic team at Alta Loma Transformational Services. If you have a background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and thrive in working with individuals who have faced significant challenges in previous treatments, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities
- Group Therapy: Conduct engaging dual diagnosis (mental health/substance abuse) group sessions and promptly complete group notes.
- Individual Therapy: Provide tailored individual therapy services to residents, addressing their unique needs and fostering their recovery.
- Team Collaboration: Share valuable insights from interactions with residents’ families or other sources with the team, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Intervention Evaluation: Continuously assess and refine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions for residents.
- Communication: Maintain clear, efficient communication with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding resident issues or concerns.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all facility, State, and Federal policies and procedures concerning resident confidentiality, rights, and anonymity.
- Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional boundaries with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Team Meetings: Actively participate in weekly staff meetings, contributing to collaborative problem-solving and planning.
- Resident Support: Provide comprehensive, compassionate support services to residents.
- Environment Management: Create and maintain a safe, comfortable, and resident-focused treatment environment.
- Safety: Ensure resident safety at all times, proactively addressing any potential issues.
- Flexibility: Step in to cover for any staff absences as needed, demonstrating versatility and commitment.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management or leadership, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Doctoral level degree
- Licensure: Current valid licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (PsyD), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience: Preferably experienced in working with complex mental health issues, DBT, and EMDR.
- Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and intervention evaluation skills.
