Centerpoint Health is an FQHC seeking an Integrated Behavioral Health Counselor at our Middletown and Franklin, Ohio clinic locations. We provide services in primary health care, dental, ob-gyn, and behavioral health, and are looking for a full-time integrated behavioral health counselor to join our amazing team!
Job Duties:
- Direct patient care is the primary job function.
- Perform initial screening and evaluations/assessment; administer, score, and perform initial screening tests; interview and observe clients; write clinical reports and develop/implement treatment plans.
- Provide family counseling according to established principles and best practices.
- Provide brief intervention therapy for mental health conditions or behavioral components of chronic medical conditions.
- Provide intervention/treatments, conduct individual and group counseling, and administer therapy.
- Use appropriate interviewing techniques and/or instruments to develop an accurate diagnostic summary and treatment plan.
- Provide in-depth assessment services and diagnostic summaries. Select methods of counseling/treatment to be employed and provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
- Use information to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Provide appropriate treatment to patients, as determined by the assessment process.
- Document each encounter appropriately in the electronic health record as directed by the policies and procedures of Centerpoint Health.
- This position may require occasional travel throughout the state and nation to attend meetings, seminars, or conferences.
- Some administrative and business duties may be part of this job function.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certifications/Credentials:
Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Certification and Licensure: LISW, LPCC, Psy-D or PhD in Psychology.
Experience: Two years of experience as a clinician is preferred; one year of experience in an integrated behavioral health setting preferred.
Additional Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to proficiently perform case reviews, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments with patients.
- Possess strong working knowledge of evidence-based therapies and services, clinical assessment, interviewing skills and data collection. Familiarity with statistics preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated health care environment.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and other health care providers.
- Ability to work with interruptions, manage priorities, and work unsupervised.
- Ability to be adaptive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of the health center and the needs of patients.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Previous knowledge of Electronic Health Records preferred.
