**THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WORKING ON WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY, and SATURDAY**
Provides medical assistant duties in the health centers. Regularly supports compliance and accreditation efforts as assigned including, but not limited to OSHA, Joint Commission and HIPAA.
Assist providers in care and treatment of patients including: Cleaning and setting up of exam room, assist with or perform ordered medical tests, chaperone providers, procedure and exam set-up, taking vital stats, weights and heights, and other clinical duties as appropriate. Performs laboratory and waive tests. Completes lab requisitions and enters information into EHR. Ensures cleaning and sterilization of lab equipment as well as performance of control tests and/ or autoclave.
Communicates professionally with patients. Takes patient's medical history. Educates patients and reinforces provider instructions. Ensures proper documentation in patient's medical records. Completes required medical paperwork with patient.
Ensures adequate supplies in exam room and lab. Assists with ordering of supplies. Complies with bio-hazardous waste disposal and policy.
100 % attendance to mandatory skills updates, staff meetings, and trainings.
Performs all other duties as requested.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
