Responsibilities:
- Arizona Boiler Company is looking for an ASE Automotive Technician to join our team as our Head Mechanic! We are seeking a reliable individual, preferably with fleet management skill, diesel experience a PLUS! Functions as a skilled-level technician who can perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as a B-Class general service technician.
Mechanic will manage our fleet, ensuring that all maintanence and repairs are managed and completed efficiently. We will provide a truck with tools that will allow you to assist our fleet on and off-site. This candidate should be willing to be on-call for after hours and weekend calls when we have a fleet issue.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: motors, transmissions, electrical, and heavy machinery (fork lifts, etc.)
Essential Duties:
- ASE Certified
- 3+ years’ experience desired
- Diesel experience a PLUS
- Transmission repair experience desired
- Computer Experience and familiarity
- Performs work as outlined on repair order (based on scanner/Identifix) with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Communicates with General Manager/Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
- Examines fleet vehicle further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with General Manager on any issues or challenges.
- Documents all work performed and recommended.
- Road tests vehicles when required.
- Maintains Mechanic license
- Keeps scanner and equipment up to date.
- Supervises work of any one that is supporting a job/project.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Ensures that cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
