Ohio Truck Sales is the nation’s largest pre-owned long hood dealer right here in Rhome, TX! Founded in 2010, OTS is a pre-owned semi-truck dealership that purchases, reconditions, and sells across the nation. Responsible for over 1,000+ truck sales each year, OTS’s humble beginnings have morphed from a single sales facility in Ohio to now hosting a second location in Rhome, Texas!
The General Sales Manager will function as a strategic partner to the executive team of the organization. This individual will be responsible for directing the Sales & Service function - will be responsible for building an annual strategic Sales & Service operating plan, department systems & processes, Sales training, performance management & leadership development.
The incumbent will serve in an advisory capacity to the CEO and management team on organization-wide issues.
Planning & Development:
- Develop a comprehensive Sales & Service strategy and implementation plan that will allow the organization to meet and exceed annual sales goals
- Develop and implement performance processes, systems, dashboards; including performance improvement & coaching
- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives
Operations:
- As a business leader, be an active participant on the management team and participate in Sales & Service planning
- Supervise Sales & Technical professionals
- Identify Sales & Service training and education needs, develop, and implement plans, programs, and processes to meet those needs and consistently monitor the effectiveness of these programs
- Handle all employee and customer relations issues - find resolutions that are customer focused and balance the needs of the individual employee and the organization
Required Education, Skills & Abilities
- At least five years of progressive Sales Management experience in small to midsize companies
- Excellent proficiency with CRM packages and systems
- Proficiency in Excel
- High sense of urgency
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus
- Team building experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
