(BNA) is a is a distributor of productive manufacturing technologies serving a variety of manufacturing industries, including surfaces and woodworking technologies, photovoltaic module lamination and coating, printed wiring board fabrication and plastic card fabrication. BNA is a wholly-owned division of Robert Bürkle GmbH, located in Freudenstadt, Germany.
BNA is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina (NC), where it has its’ innovation center and showroom supporting the sales effort. BNA is a sales company, without its own production, where our focus is equipment sales, parts sales, and excellent service after the sale.
The ideal candidate will be located within one of the following states: Texas, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada. Location in other states will be considered, however.
Position:
Wood Coating, Lamination Division
The North American woodworking market is a large growth market for our engineered coating and lamination machines. It’s a market that touches each of us daily - you’ve used furniture and kitchen cabinets which are just a couple examples of applications for our laminating and coating systems. You must have experience providing comprehensive technical service on industrial equipment. Your experience would ideally be with equipment used to manufacture woodworking products as well as surface liquid and spray coating equipment.
3P (PCB, PV, Plastic Card) Division
Provides comprehensive service on industrial equipment used to manufacture Printed Circuit Boards, Solar Modules, Safety Glass and Credit Cards, maintaining high customer satisfaction, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and safety of the equipment.
Extensive Training will be provided both at client sites and our Tech Center in Greensboro, North Carolina (NC). Additional training will be provided at Robert Bürkle headquarters in Germany.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and maintain equipment at customer sites. Perform modifications or retrofits as needed.
- Maintain complete and detailed knowledge of assigned equipment and applications.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and calibrate products at customer sites. Participate in hotline (phone and email) support.
- Handle a wide variety of problems, issues, and inquiries. Collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Frequently interface with customers, management & technical personnel in the U.S. and Europe. Goal to build “partnership” relationships with equipment operators and customer’s technical personnel to ensure the most efficient and effective problem solving.
- Provide training for customers and others in the effective operation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and issue complete and timely reports on equipment serviced.
- Provide support for trade shows as needed.
- Maintain direct contact with US Service Manager and Customer Support Team in Germany to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Four-Year Degree from technical college/university in associated field (mechatronics, electronics/electrical or mechanical engineering) preferred.
- Or three to five years directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Siemens control systems and electronic troubleshooting; as well as in general electrical and mechanical service tasks preferred.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills. Exercise judgment, discretion, tact, and the maintenance of specific technical knowledge of the equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals and reports.
- Fluent in English. German and/or Spanish a plus.
- Ability to travel extensively (estimate 80%).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card (for business travel), and passport.
- Consent to a background check and provide references.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Work is performed at individual customer sites.
- The individual must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the regular duties of the position the individual must be able to wear safety equipment when needed and follow safety instructions/procedures at all times.
Salary Information:
- This a full time position with a base salary in the range of $68K - $78K per year plus overtime.
