What defines this job?
- Establish visible quality presence on Production floor by conducting and coordinating regular onsite quality audits.
- Assist in administering Quality Management System elements such as Work Methods, Problem-solving/Root Cause Analysis, and Non-conformance reporting
- Responsible for all Quality reporting by maintaining the Document Control and Records Retention systems
- Perform inspections on non-conforming materials and in-progress products by striving to always improve the inspection and test methods.
- Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer-supplied audit forms
- Lead and coordinate all Safety Training for plant employees for safe work practices
- Continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in the plant by identifying and solving potential hazards and risks
- Conduct and report incident investigations of on-site accidents, injuries, and property damage
- Communicates effectively to supervision and operating personnel
- Responsible for 5S Program (continuous improvement) in the QC area and other areas where assigned
- Other duties as assigned

What do we ask?
The preferred candidate will have an associate degree in related Engineering or Science field or equivalent experience. 2+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance while working in a plant environment. Must have knowledge of plant management and production control principles. Knowledge of enforcing quality production standards, and health and safety requirements. Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Good organization and time management. Have the ability to read and interpret production drawings/specifications. Basic understanding of geometry combined with strong mathematics and blueprint reading skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Must have strong knowledge of Quality Systems and is familiar with ISO 9001 quality standards. Have working knowledge and experience in HSE. Effective communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in using various measurement equipment. Good dexterity skills, able to handle precision machined parts. Ability to read instructions in English. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check and physical screening.
