Job Description: The Accounting Controller will provide financial leadership for a growing dynamic business with a twenty-year history of delivering proven market-disrupting services to the construction industry. It will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Sales. Epsilon is part of the HTS Engineering Ltd group of companies and the Accounting Controller work in collaboration with the parent company finance team.
Responsibilities:
1) Accounting
a. Ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions for Epsilon are managed in an efficient and accurate way.
b. Provide senior management with analysis of results including development of cost and reporting models that support a growing business.
c. Drafting and implementation of accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure accounting rules are followed.
d. Financial and management statements – assist the financial reporting department with quarterly and annual results.
e. Aid with yearly external audit/reviews.
f. Ensure the Inventory system is accurate, review inventory levels, stock held is at required levels.
g. Management of Epsilon accounting staff members.
2) Budgeting and Forecasting
a. Preparation of yearly plan in collaboration with President and Chief Revenue Officer.
b. Preparation and presentation of monthly and yearly cash flow budgets based on current sales and production schedules.
c. Continued updating and development of Cost Drivers to support profitable growth.
3) Credit/Collections
a. Enforcement and updating of company credit policy.
b. Ensure timely invoicing and collection of Epsilon billings.
c. Work as a mediator between Epsilon sales/operations and customers to ensure that customers timely pay all bills and billing related problems are identified and resolved.
4) Taxation
a. Assist Corporate Tax Group with government auditors for corporate, commodity and payroll taxes.
b. Review and apply for government subsidies, incentive and grant programs as available.
c. Ensure timely and accurate remittance of all taxes.
Skills:
- College Degree specializing in accounting or business, preference given to those with an accounting designation along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and leadership experience.
- Experience in Construction and manufacturing preferred in multi-facility operations including cross border transactions.
- Ability to understand and utilize advanced technologies.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact at all organizational levels.

Note: this position is located in Tuscaloosa Alabama. The successful candidate is expected to live local or plan to relocate to the area prior to starting employment. This position is in office.
