Duties:
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining store displays to stigmatise products effectively
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash register
- Receive and stock merchandise, ensuring shelves are clean and organized
- Perform inventory control tasks, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular audits
- Provide administrative support, such as data entry and filing
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer purchases accurately
- Demonstrate knowledge of retail math to calculate discounts, sales tax, and change
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep the store clean and organized
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and ability to perform stock-related tasks
- Basic administrative skills, including data entry and filing
- Familiarity with POS systems and ability to learn new software quickly
- Understanding of retail math concepts for accurate calculations during transactions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
