Position: Member Specialist I (Universal Teller)

PURPOSE: Provides prompt, courteous service to members as an universal employee who can assist members with a full range of financial services and products. Expand member relationships through cross-selling of credit union products and services that best suit our member’s lifestyle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Smile, greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions. Use the member’s name at least once during the transaction.
- Process basic teller transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan/credit card payments
- Process additional transactions such as cash advances, wire requests, money orders
- Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services such as consumer and mortgage loans, HSA/IRAs, certificates, debit and credit cards, online and mobile banking and checking accounts
- Utilize the following programs to perform member maintenance requests: Card Wizard (card creation), Client Link (credit card verification/activation), Star Station (debit card verification), Zephyr (check copies), Verafin (debit/credit card disputes), Docusign (signature/form request)
- Assist members with problems in their accounts, including restructuring accounts to correct accounts.
- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the teller area, including robbery procedures; develop a working knowledge of the credit union's electronic data processing system.
- Complete annual Bank Secrecy Act training as designated by Security Officer.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of shift and compare totaled amounts to computer generated proof sheet; research and resolve discrepancies; report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
- Adhere to over/short procedure and teller drawer limits.
- Must answer phones within 3 rings in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
- Performs routine clerical duties such as microfilming, filing, imaging, and typing.
- Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, by-laws and operational procedures.
- Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
