Job Overview:
Bassett & Associates, P.A., a growing CPA firm, is actively searching for a Bookkeeper in Raleigh, NC. This role will help our clients maintain financial records, including daily transactions, bank reconciliations, balance sheet tie-down, and month-end close. The perfect candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in handling all day-to-day accounting functions and preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities
· Monthly bookkeeping for several clients
· Reconciling bank, loans, and credit card accounts
· Assessing reasonableness of accounting data
· Month-end balance sheet tie-down
· Monthly and year-end adjusting journal entries
· Preparing financial statements
· Assisting with tax payments and returns
· Working with tax team as needed
Requirements
· Proven bookkeeping experience
· Solid understanding of balance sheets (not just the P&L)
· Data entry skills
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
· Proficiency in English
· QuickBooks products
· Microsoft Word and Excel
· Client service skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
