Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and implement the educational program for each child (IEP).
- Function as a contributing member of child’s interdisciplinary team and represent the team at CSE meetings, as required.
- Effectively oversee all activities for program success.
- Compile all reports and statistics required.
- Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings and committees.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and Agency regulations and operating standards.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (EARLY CHILDHOOD)* Educational Requirements/ Qualifications/ experience :*
- Current Professional New York State Teacher Certification in students with disabilities birth-grade 2 or a current Permanent New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel)
- This position requires regular substantial contact with the children therefore, employees are required by law to complete a background check with the State Registered Clearance Database on Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
- Ability to lift and/or assist individuals in your care and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
