JOB GOAL:
Assist Business Services in performing all duties associated with the efficient functioning of the Business Services Department
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree and/or two years of work experience as an administrative assistant in the school setting preferred.
- Three years of secretarial experience preferred.
- High proficiency in typing with excellent accuracy.
- Ability to operate standard business equipment, including computer and word processing.
- Excellent communication skills and knowledge of English grammar and proofreading.
- Knowledge of office procedures, basic records bookkeeping, desktop publishing, spreadsheets and purchasing procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with others in a positive, clear, and precise manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, and conferences.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- School district experience preferred.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 Days; 12 Months
COMPENSATION: $27.78 - $32.78
BENEFITS: As per District policy
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
HOURS: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

Performs a variety of secretarial duties, including filing, typing of correspondence, scheduling, bulletins, memorandums, notices, reports, and written materials.
- Maintains appropriate records and files for the department.
- Provides clerical support in the development and monitoring of curriculum/instruction and assessment.
- Assists in the preparation of in-services and workshops as directed.
- Maintains records of course offerings, registration, organization of files, and all other duties pertaining to district offered courses and in-services.
- Compiles and/or types a variety of forms, records, and reports from various reference sources.
- Orders and maintains office and curriculum supplies and materials as needed, obtain data for ordering and tracking.
- Greets public, answers phones, and responds to inquiries from staff, patrons, public, and students with information in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Prepares materials for distribution in an efficient and timely manner.
- Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
