The business:
We are partnering with a building materials distribution leader based in the heart of the Midwest with a national presence. They generate $450m in revenue through organic growth while maintaining a humble, family-first, outdoor enthusiastic culture. Their building material customers sell to custom residential builders and remodelers. The opportunity:
As an ambassador and front-line contact to customers, you will inherit a proven and established territory base and work with current clientele to educate, train, and convert business. You will regularly visit and present to Customers, Contractors, and Builders, to maintain positive, profitable relationships and identify new opportunities for future sales. In being a solutions provider to the customer, you will achieve set company sales and growth goals by continually selling existing product lines and by introducing new products. You will also partner closely with your Product Specialist on product training for customers.
What you will need to be successful:
- 3-5 years of customer-facing sales and/or service experience within a business to business industry
- Strong presentation, verbal & written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and people skills are needed to develop and sustain relationships that result in advanced sales of key products
- Demonstrated ability to influence others
- Business Acumen
- Prioritization skills and the ability to interpret data to make strategic decisions on territory management
- Highly developed planning and organizational abilities
