Overview:
We expanding our compliance department and are seeking meticulous compliance people to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking regulations, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, the S.A.F.E Act, FCRA, regulatory reporting, Bank Secrecy Act, GLBA, and all mortgage regulations. This position can be performed remotely or in one of our offices located in either Henderson, NV, or Draper, UT.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the main compliance officers with daily tasks and compliance-related activities.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of mortgage files to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and update compliance records and databases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports.
- Provide administrative and executive support as needed.
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure organizational compliance
- Collaborate with external auditors during regulatory examinations
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues as they arise
- Perform in-depth audits of loan files, including pre-funding, post-closing, and servicing audits, to ensure adherence to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct compliance audits specific to the mortgage industry, ensuring all loans meet TILA, RESPA, ECOA, S.A.F.E Act, FCRA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement audit plans and checklists tailored to mortgage industry standards.
- Document findings, prepare detailed audit reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Experience:
- Previous experience in mortgage compliance or a related field
- Strong understanding of mortgage industry regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance software.
