SUMMARY
Ability to Set up and operate multi-axis milling machines to mill surfaces of steel work pieces.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situation.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, etc.)
HOW YOU ADD VALUE
- Read process sheets, blueprints and sketches of parts to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements.
- Retrieve CNC programs from DNC computer.
- Insert precision indicator in machine spindle, and depress switches to job spindle into contact with work piece, and synchronize the program and tooling
- Retract spindle, load and secure first preset tool and holder (indicates tooling).
- Observe cutting operations.
- Operate machine and perform a dry run to indicate if programming is correct.
- Assemble and preset tooling for next operation during automated cycle to reduce machine down time.
- Replace milling tools with drilling and boring tools at specified change points to reduce or eliminate subsequent machining of work piece on another machine.
- Study job packet and organize materials for next run during automatic cycles to shorten change over time.
- Perform and document specified inspection criteria.

- Knowledgeable of CNC and manual machines used to manufacture tooling.

- Knowledge of manufacturing process.
- Available to work weekends and overtime.
