Job Description
Upon enlistment and completion of paid job training, work part time serving your local community. Jobs vary based upon your individual choice and qualification but know that you will be well trained and prepared to tackle many of life's obstacles and taught to lead and work as a team to accomplish the task at hand. A traditional guardsman will work one weekend a month through the year and typically two weeks during the summer months, all to be prepared and maintain readiness in the event that the state of Kansas needs to call on you.
Recent State missions have included Covid-19 response efforts, blizzard aid in northwest Kansas, hurricane relief on various coasts, civil unrest response, federal overseas activation, wildfire suppression and rescue missions.
