The Engineering Leader role will be a people leader, who will lead a product and process engineering team to support aeroderivative turbine services on scope definition, cost-control, lead-time reductions, and overall customer experience to facilitate a world-class organization on service execution.
Essential Responsibilities :
As the Engineering Leader, you will:

Develop master work scope templates for each of the
major frames to drive consistency through all Gates -
Execute all prework required for a seamless induction,
disassembly, and repair process -
Key areas include but are not limited to: participate in handover
meetings; understand the contracts “as sold” to ensure customer
expectations are met; ask the customer/commercial rep important questions
to help define the scope and prevent interruptions during disassembly -
Provide configuration information and expertise through
the team so engines/modules inducting into the shop are properly planned,
configurations checked, and the right materials ordered to be able to
successfully deliver for our customers -
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Aero
network (for e.g., Supply chain, Asset Management, Finance) to develop the
right material pre-ordering strategy to ensure Service Center TAT success -
Own the pre-ordering processes and TAT outcome of the
engines/modules coming through the shop - Follow through on the ordered
materials through the initial phases of the repair cycle, ensuring no
defects occur (double-ordering, misses etc.) -
Support the teams developing digital BOMs to enforce
accurate parts ordering and “missing at incoming” inspections -
The Engineering Leader and team responsibilities do not end
with induction. The team must
remain engaged with the engines/modules throughout the duration of its
visit by providing technical expertise and dispositions to keep the jobs
moving -
Engineering success is defined as the accurate pre-ordering
of all material and providing a specific and consistent workscope that enables the lowest cost, lowest lead-time and best quality outcome
Qualifications/Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in shop operations, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing or parts fulfillment position.

Minimum 3-5 years of of leadership experience

Experience working with Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines/Aviation engine and module configurations/bill of material

Experience in gas turbine plant/filed/power plant support operations

Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs

Established project management skills
