Job Description

The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for managing day-to-day patient accounts and providing timely and accurate customer service. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. They must also have the ability to maintain accurate records and demonstrate sound judgment in problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurate data entry of information into the computer system
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ability to handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls
- Make outbound calls to patients / guarantors regarding outstanding balances
- Answer/respond to correspondence related to accounts
- Work well individually or in a team environment accomplishing set goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure timely reimbursement
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of medical office experience
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a medical setting (which can be a healthcare call center environment)
- Must understand basic AR and how to look at patient accounts
