Job Description:
PRN is looking for Registered Nurses in Orange County as well as the Long Beach Area for ICU/CCU, Telemetry and Med/Surg units that perform nursing functions according to the sequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation as defined by the California State Board of Nursing.
Pay Range: $660-$750 per shift depending on hospital
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nurses.
- BSN/Bachelor of Science in Nursing or health related field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
- State of California as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required (AHA).
- Current ACLS (AHA).
- Current NIHSS cert
- Current MAB/CPI cert (ER)
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered or licensed practical nursing.
- BSN/Bachelor of Science in Nursing or health related field preferred.
Requirements:
- 1 year of Acute Care in a hospital nursing experience.
- Required COVID19 and Flu Vaccine.
- California RN License.
- NIHSS stroke Certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Recognition & Treatment (BART).
Knowledge:
Requires detailed knowledge of the nursing practice and care delivery in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is to be done. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and incorporate them into the patient care plan.
Summary of Primary Functions:
- Administers nursing treatments as prescribed by the MD using standard protocols.
- Assists in orientation of new staff as requested and serves as a resource person and professional role model.
- Documents nursing interventions and patient response according to hospital policy.
- Carries out both physical assessments of patients upon admission to the hospital.
- Initiates and revises the patient's plan of care based on continuing assessments.
- Includes patient teaching and discharge planning in overall plan of care.
- Willingness to float to other areas of a facility in which the registered nurse is qualified to work upon manager’s request.
- Responsible for current nursing standards and supports PRN client facility philosophy and programs in order to maintain quality.
- Perform all other functions as required.
