Job Description
We are looking for an electrical engineer to design printed circuit boards and electronic subassemblies. The candidate should have a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of electrical engineering, practical experience designing and building systems, and a willingness to get their hands dirty in the lab to solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with customers and interdisciplinary teams to determine system requirements
- Create block diagrams, select components for RF, analog, mixed-signal and digital circuits
- Circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout
- PCB bring-up and lab testing -- identify and solve problems
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to build working first-of-a-kind systems
Requirements
- At least four years experience designing electronic hardware
- Experience with PCB CAD software such as Altium Designer, Eagle, ORCAD, etc.
- Experience with circuit simulation in SPICE, soldering, using test equipment
- Familiarity with high speed digital design, controlled impedance, crosstalk, signal integrity
- Experience with board-level communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, USB, PCI, etc.)
- Excellent communication, computer, reporting, and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
