We are pleased to offer the current job opportunity for a Mail and Supply Clerk within the County's Mailroom. This position is under the Finance Department and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the operations of the DuPage County Mailroom.

Picks up certified and first-class mail

Processes all certified mail under control

Sorts and distributes mail

Distributes and picks up interoffice and first-class mail at each internal and external sort location

Calculates postage and supply expense charges and allocates by individual department

Accepts deliveries and obtains acceptance signatures for all controlled items

Affixes postage to all outgoing mail

Provides delivery on all copier paper, printed forms, and stocked supply items as requested

Unloads deliveries from trucks

Operates equipment (e.g. vehicle, flatbed truck, powered pallet lifts)

Assists with the collection, storage, and distribution of surplus furniture and equipment

Keeps paper storage in x-ray room at 505 Building organized

Operates copy machine and processes various print orders

Delivers copy paper to various departments upon receipt of orders

Keeps used battery drop off area and package returns organized

Keeps used office equipment area in mailroom organized and easy to access

Keeps loading dock clear of debris, especially near dock doors

Ensures vehicle interiors are free of debris and washed as needed
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:

Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

One (1) year of experience in warehousing, mailroom, a related service based environment

Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver’s license.
A pre-employment background check is required.
