Position: Activity Coordinator
Lakeshore Manor, an Assisted Living facility part of Eden Senior Care, is looking for its next Activity Coordinator!
An Activity Coordinator develops, modifies, evaluates, and implements activity programs that embrace and fulfill the social needs and interests of the senior population living in and visiting the Community.
Job Description:
- Assists with planning a comprehensive program that includes individual and group activities that meets the needs and interests of the residents.
- Plans and directs activities. (Escorts residents to and from activities as needed).
- Supervises volunteers helping with in-house activities and on community outings.
- Provides one-to-one activities for residents who are not participating in group activities.
- Performs duties in a professional manner in compliance with the facility and Therapeutic Recreation Department policies and procedures.
- Maintains a safe and healthy environment for all residents, following all Wisconsin Health Department regulations.
- Maintains quality daily attendance/ behavioral records.
- Posts monthly program calendars and maintains good communication with all departments.
- Assists with setting up and decorating for activities and special events.
- Attends and participates in Therapeutic Recreation Department staff meetings and in-service training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This position requires a minimum of a high school education and a Certification for an Activity Director MEPAP.
- This position requires some evening and weekend hours; must be willing to be flexible on scheduled work hours.
- Good human relations skills and genuine interest in older adults are required.
- Candidate must be able to communicate written and verbal ideas in English.
- Also, must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
