Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our prestigious healthcare facility. As an integral part of our Level II Trauma Center, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients.
**Responsibilities:**
- Deliver direct patient care in the ICU, ensuring timely assessment and treatment of critically ill patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, to determine appropriate interventions and responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and manage patient care efficiently.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions with empathy and clarity.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records utilizing electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialized procedures such as gastric lavage, Botulinum toxin treatment, and other advanced medical interventions.
- Provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and patients with complex medical needs.
**Skills:**
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to ICU nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while upholding high standards of patient care.
- Knowledge of infant care principles, ophthalmology practices, and nursing home protocols is advantageous.
- Experience with travel nursing or medical office settings is a plus.
