Position Summary
WFS is currently looking for a Maintenance Group Lead for our Education Program. Under the general direction of the Manager of Custodial and Facilities Maintenance, with considerable latitude for independent judgment, action, and decision-making, the Group Leader– Maintenance is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the materials, equipment, and maintenance staff toward efficient, cost-effective attainment of the Facilities Department goals and in compliance with applicable codes, safety, and other guidelines/requirements. This position focuses primarily on the education facilities with an additional 1-2 locations.
Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org )
- Ensure that the facilities are maintained, and grounds are landscaped.
- Ensure that plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems are operating efficiently.
- Establish schedule for maintenance staff and plan daily work assignments.
- Provide effective leadership of assigned maintenance staff, including but not limited to scheduling, absences, timekeeping, trainings, safety, and evaluation.
- Provides leadership to staff regarding corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure that maintenance staff receives training so that each employee has full understanding of equipment and systems that they will be operating and maintaining.
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of security system to ensure safe, secure, quality operations. May maintain keys, logs, etc.
- Ensure safety guidelines and program goals are met, including ensuring safety training requirements are met.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High School Diploma/GED/Technical School Diploma
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience within maintenance or facilities management; property management experience will be considered
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
· Carpentry,Electrician, Heating and Cooling, or Plumbing Certificate
· Act 33/34 Clearances
· Act 151 Clearances
· FBI Clearance
· Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
