Benefits Coordinator
Midtown Manhattan Educational Organization located in the Times Square area is seeking a Temp to Perm Benefits Coordinator. This position is paying up to $28 dollars an hour and the permanent salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Conduct employee orientations to explain benefits options and assist with enrollment processes.
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate payroll deductions for benefits.
- Maintain employee records related to benefits and handle inquiries regarding coverage or claims.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to benefits compliance such as HIPAA requirements.
- Utilize HR systems like Kronos, Lawson, and Salesforce for benefits administration.
- Assist in negotiating benefit plans with vendors to ensure cost-effective options for employees.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in benefits administration
- Strong understanding of HR practices and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws governing employee benefits.
- Ability to effectively communicate benefit options to employees and address inquiries.
- Experience in payroll processes related to benefits deductions is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining benefit records.
