Farm/Grounds Technician/Laborer M-F 7:30am-4:00pm (weekends as needed)
General Summary:
Responsible for animal care as well as general maintenance of campus grounds.
Specific Duties:

Performs general maintenance of the farm area and landscaping concerns around campus

Animal Care: feed, water and clean animals, stalls and pens

Pick up Feed Orders
-
Operate Equipment: snow plow, bobcat, end loader, backhoe, skid steer and fork lift
-
Set-up and break-down of special event equipment
-
Assist with snowplow equipment maintenance, snow removal via: shoveling, snow blowing and snow plowing

Assist with tree trimming and removal

Assist with the watering of landscaping: bushes and flowers

Assist with the moving of furniture

Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Farm Foreman, Director of Facilities Management or Executive Director of MH Operations.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required to Perform the Job:

Minimum H.S. diploma / 21 years of age

Experience with animal care, farm maintenance, landscaping power equipment

Good driving record

Ability to operate machinery and vehicles of various sizes: skid steer, backhoe, dump truck, pick-up truck, bobcat, end loader, fork lift, snow plow

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided

Ability to work as a team as well as independently

Ability to work in all weather conditions
