The role of the board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) is critical in the treatment or management of behavioral, emotional, and developmental disorders. Behavior analysis is the study of how humans learn and behave in social settings. Those who work with people to craft learning plans and enact therapy for emotional or cognitive disabilities apply the data accumulated by the experimental observation and research branch of the discipline. The board certified behavior analyst is a graduate level distinction. BCBAs can conduct observations, craft action plans with students and families.
