To support, coach, and empower each employee within the store to achieve the company’s goals and objectives through example-setting, and customer service excellence. The assistant manager assists the Store Manager to help ensure that all employees meet the company standards and expectations consistently. Also acts as a liaison between the customer, management, and the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate leadership skills to meet the company’s objectives

Demonstrate and support employees to adhere to the company’s policies, standards, and expectations.

Assist in training of store employees.

Recognize employees that adhere to the company’s values.

Communicate solutions, suggestions, and ideas to make changes for the better.

Foster a positive image of Space Age Fuel within the store and community.

Support the store manager with all phases of store operations.
-
Participate in store meetings and training sessions to meet the company’s objectives.

Maintain store safety for staff and customers.
-
Morning paperwork (basic knowledge of excel)
-
Managing money accurately (cash in till/change orders)
-
Pumping fuel and managing the register
-
Accepting invoices and keeping an accurate inventory of products.
-
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
-
Minimum education level of High School Graduate or GED equivalency
-
1 year of proven leadership skills in a retail sales environment.
Skills:

Must be flexible to work various schedules such as weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

Must have the ability to accurately handle money.

Must have strong attention to detail

Good oral and written communication skills

Exhibits customer service instincts

Ability to exercise good judgment and works well with people.

Willingness to make decisions, independent thinker

Must be able to do simple math such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction and multiplication.

Regularly lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

Exposure to variable temperatures (indoor, outdoor)

Work with cleaning solvents and chemicals

Daily exposure to gasoline and oil products
