Job brief
We are looking for a pipefitter welder with mechanical aptitude. To work dayshift Monday to Friday.
You will maintain piping systems, work with pumps, and perform basic plant maintenance. You should be proficient with pipefitting tools and welders. Job will require occasional use of manlifts, forklifts, and other vehicles. Majority of work will be hands on but must also know how to use a computer. Will provide pump, reliability, and computer training as needed.

Responsibilities
- Review P&ID’s and blueprints to understand requirements
- Ability to own a job start to finish
- Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations
- Measure and cut pipes according to requirements
- Fit and weld pipe systems including threaded, sw, buttweld
- Install and secure pipes to industry standards (e.g. with clamps)
- Remove, rebuild, install, and align pumps
- Repair malfunctions, breakages, or leaks
- Use and maintain tools
- Collaborate with other workers (e.g. plumbers, painters) to produce finished constructions
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance
- Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals
- Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
- Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Complying with health and safety regulations
- Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment (e.g. goggles)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pipefitter
- Willingness to learn about pumps and seals
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with dangerous equipment or chemicals
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a weather conditions
- Ability to work in overtime/call outs
- Ability to obtain TWIC card
- Ability to wear respirator
- Valid license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.33 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
