Position Overview:
As the Financial Controller (FC) of Dunton Management Company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategies and overseeing the financial operations of our luxury hotel management company. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, managing financial risks, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilites:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making processes and enhance financial performance.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis, providing insights to senior management.
- Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and investment strategies to maximize returns and maintain liquidity.
- Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to secure funding and support strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other department heads to optimize operational efficiencies and drive cost-effective solutions.
- Assess and implement financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior financial leadership role within the hospitality or luxury hotel management industry.
- Experience in Luxury Condo Hotels a plus and HOA management
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems; familiarity with hotel management systems is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
Location:
Majority of properties are in SW Colorado, hence that general area is preferred.
