Seeking a customer-focused Automation Software Support Specialist to provide remote support and development for automation and robotic systems, with expertise in PLC programming, software troubleshooting, and client relations.
This role includes an initial 30-day on-site training period in Atlanta before transitioning to remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support for automation equipment issues, focusing on robotic systems.
- Collaborate with global clients to offer top-notch customer service and technical assistance.
- Engage in software development for ongoing projects and manage post-sale software/computer-related projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term business partnerships.
- Adhere to health and safety policies during all work activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field.
- Proficient in blueprint/schematic reading.
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft Transact SQL, .NET Framework, Visual Basic, ASi Safety systems.
- Competent with TCP/IP networking, system integration with servo motors/software in industrial settings.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes, work under pressure in a complex environment.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle, SQL databases or Java programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience working with network protocols, various programming languages and servo drives.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally (10% - 15%).
- Possess a valid driver's license and passport with the ability to travel without restrictions.
