Looking for highly skilled assistant chefs comfortable with vegetarian and natural foods available July through late August.
We are an overnight farm-based Summer Camp with a farm-to-table culinary kitchen. Staff either live on site or commute.
About our kitchen:
100% organic ingredients
Primarily vegetarian with occasional fish meals and one meat meal per week.
All natural and unrefined ingredients
All breads, snacks, sauces, etc prepared in house; Many ingredients and fresh herbs from our on-site farm
Most kitchen staff work five or six days a week on a nine-hour shift, which includes a one hour break. Your shift time would be set in consultation with the Head Chef, based on the final kitchen staff organization.
In our busiest eight week period from June 25 to August 20, we serve about 900 meals a day. The kitchen staff includes the head chef, 3 assistant chefs, 5 prep cooks, a baker, a pastry cook, 3 dining hall managers, and 5 dishwashers.
