Our Finance team builds the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, as well as with external partners.
Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Corporate Finance, the Director of Corporate FP&A will lead Dropbox’s Corporate FP&A functions in establishing our long-term financial trajectory and shorter term financial forecasts. You will bring thought leadership and business partnering to senior executives in the Finance organization and across Dropbox.
This leader will drive value with a particular focus on leading the Company’s annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes, as well as supporting a wide range of management reporting, strategic analysis and decision-making for the group. The Director of Corporate FP&A will provide leadership within our FP&A function and have the business maturity to set ambitious goals for various business outcomes and the intellectual horsepower to derive deep, data-driven insights that will help us realize those goals. The Director of Corporate FP&A will be responsible for leading the efforts to scale our corporate FP&A processes and develop members of our corporate FP&A team as we grow and face increasing business complexity.
Responsibilities
Own the financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Equity) for Dropbox, including forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning
Lead monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, and communicating business insights to senior leadership
Provide ad-hoc analysis and lead various other reporting projects including decision support, metrics and analytics
Develop a best-in-class annual and long-term business planning process and ensure alignment between business partners and FP&A. Includes developing policies, process, timelines, cadence, tools, and communication
Be a strategic partner to members of the senior management team on the development and evaluation of business plans
Be responsible for quarterly management and Board reporting, ensuring a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy, as well as highlighting key business insights
Provide support for Investor Relations and Earnings Call preparation
Continually improve processes, drive change and elevate the level of reporting for the overall corporation, for business units, and for corporate department
Own Company Planning, collaborating cross-functionally with the GM’s, Finance Org and the People team, driving alignment and accountability mechanisms

Requirements
10+ years of Finance experience with 5+ years management experience, in roles of increasing responsibility within the finance function of an organization that has led to strong corporate finance and accounting acumen to drive decisions at both strategic and tactical levels
Public company experience
Background in SaaS or technology industries
Superb analytical/quantitative skills and strong executive presence
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large/small groups and one-on-one
Flawless attention to detail and ability to consistently generate a high quality work product is critical as group analysis is presented to C-level management on a regular basis
Extensive experience partnering with senior leadership both in Finance and cross-functionally
Strong influencing skills; assertive without being antagonistic or alienating; ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture
Preferred Qualifications
Strategy or strategic initiatives experience within Finance or in another capacity
Capital allocation experience as an investment banker, private equity professional, consultant, or corporate development professional

US Zone 1 $227,800—$308,200 USD US Zone 2 $205,000—$277,400 USD US Zone 3 $182,200—$246,600 USD
The range(s) listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE for this role, subject to change.
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:
- US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro
- US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington DC metro, and West Virginia (DC metro)
- US Zone 3: All other US locations
