Riley Gear Corporation is seeking to fill a maintenance technician position. This job is located at our Saint Augustine, Florida plant. Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs machine repair tasks with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Repair and/or replace machine parts daily while maintaining proper fluids and cleanliness of machinery.
- Troubleshoots and repairs complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Repair of CNC controls, drives, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
- Works from blueprints and manuals to perform required work.
- Identifies parts and/or components required to complete repairs.
- Assist in installation and startup of new machines and relocates existing machines as required.
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to identify and recommend required work so repairs can be scheduled with minimal interruption to production.
- Assists other machine repairmen and maintenance crafts as required.
- Assists with any other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to understand and apply all types of complex drawings including hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Solid understanding of complex electrical circuits and machine controls.
- Must be proficient with all types of hand tools and required power tools.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Must have CNC experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Intermediate user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Safety Awareness at all times
Experience
- Five to ten years’ experience in a similar field.
- GibbsCAM experience a plus
Education
- High school education, GED, or equivalent. Work requires general education in order to prepare reports, perform calculations, keep records, and interact effectively with people.
