**Job Purpose:**
Assist students at the Leesburg Campus, with their daily academic learning, predominantly online. Foster strong relationships with students, staff members, and parents. Inspire students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge, providing an effective educational foundation tailored to each student's abilities. Conduct supplemental educational programs for small groups, typically in a separate classroom with a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, for remedial or advanced programs as needed.
**Basic Job Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least two (2) years of experience.
- Preferred: Accredited teacher training program completion and valid teacher certification.
- Must have current authorization to work in the United States.
**Instruction/Education Responsibilities:**
- Deliver instruction aligned with the school's mission, vision, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Follow assigned lesson plans that incorporate effective teaching strategies and meaningful engagement.
- Present subject matter to maximize learning opportunities and provide real-world, application-based examples.
- Review student records to understand each student's abilities and needs using various Huntington Learning Center Programs.
- Maintain daily student records and help them keep track of their target progress and academic goals.
- Employ a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons.
- Coordinate class field trips as required.
- Prepare students for state-required achievement assessments using STAR Assessment, IXL, or Digital SAT/ACT.
- Stay current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory, sharing this knowledge for the continual improvement of the school's curriculum.
**Additional Income Opportunity:**
- After school hours, provide tutoring lessons to Huntington Learning Center (HLC) students online, following HLC brand standards.
- Adhere to HLC's employment policies and schedules.
- Typically, there are 10-12 instructional hours per week, with the possibility of requesting additional hours based on availability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
