We are looking for a NY state Professional Engineer P.E. with electrical experience:
Responsibilities
- Serves as the on-site leader for construction work performed by the contractor and subcontractors.
- Performs electrical inspection and material oversight
- Monitors contractor operations and verifying conformance with project plans and specifications
- Interacts with the site supervision on field activities to ensure compliance with the construction contract requirements
- Supports the client at field office
- Assists in creation and review of RFls, review of documents, shop drawings, and submittals for conformance to contract requirements.
- Prepares daily reports, correspondence, and schedules updates.
- Observes details of work performed by others, documenting results; obtaining photographic documentation of work performed
- Confirms compliance with technical documents and industry-specific standards and codes
- Reviews and downloads field data into laptop computer and transfer to company server
- Discusses projects with project team on a daily basis
- Makes accurate judgment-calls on a variety of construction field activities
- Performs other like duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- A valid New York State Professional Engineers License
- A strong attention to detail is necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
- A masters degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college will be accepted as equivalent to one year of the fulltime experience in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as MTA/NYCT, NJ Transit, PANYNJ, LIRR, NYCDDC, NYCSCA is required.
- OSHA 30-hour safety course is required
- MTA Track Safety training highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- At least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or a project leader on a complex project requiring additional and specific expertise in the disciplines needed to design or construct the project.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation is commensurate with experience in a similar role and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This role is an exempt, full time salaried position.
