Join our team at a dynamic company in the manufacturing industry. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper/HR Coordinator to handle our accounting and HR functions. This is a standalone accounting position, integral to maintaining our financial health and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all AP/AR/GL maintenance and reconciliation
- Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, submitting to an external CPA firm
- Process payroll for 33 employees through Paychex
- Assist with HR functions and serve as the HR contact
- Manage and enroll employees for benefits
- Prepare deposits and reconcile company ledgers
- Perform account reconciliations and invoicing
- Verify, allocate, and post transactions
- Maintain and balance ledger
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Work closely with management on special projects as requested
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with strong tenure in previous positions
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Previous payroll experience
- Experience owning month/year-end close
- Superb attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Understanding of ERP systems
- Strongly prefer a background in manufacturing or knowledge of cost of goods sold
