JOB SUMMARY
Our company is in high-growth mode with plans to double in revenue and operational capacity over the next five years. A production Supervisor is a key member of the company’s leadership team and is responsible for developing the people and processes to deliver the quality, safety, and production results that meet our business’ goals and customer expectations.
SUPERVISION LEVEL and DIRECT REPORTS
Responsible for the daily hourly workers production and performance. Requires both hands- on work and delegation to deliver on a consistent basis the production goals set forth by management. Supervise, coach and direct staff members to their maximum potential and output of the facility. Report personnel issues and accolades to the Director of Operations and report any quality issues or concerns to the Quality Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with production managers and supervisors to organize, develop and implement the daily, weekly and quarterly production plans.
- Organize production personnel
- Record and report on metrics for cost, safety and output goals.
- Manage cost controls, identify cost-savings, efficiencies. Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Build effective business relationships with employees and fellow management team.
- Continuous improvement of human, production, physical, and information systems needed to achieve above.
- Works well under pressure and tight deadlines. Able to manage priorities and know what is most important to focus efforts towards. Must be flexible and understanding in an ever changing dynamic work place.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Continuously requires vision, hearing, walking, standing, sitting, twisting, lifting, carrying, dexterity, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, crouching and climbing and moving around in manufacturing facilities, administrative offices, logistical operations and storage areas while staff/machinery are in operation. Frequent use of telephone, calculator, printer/copier, computer and software programs.
Frequent exposure to cold environment; some areas in facility are at a temperature as low as 40 degrees Fahrenheit, with slippery surfaces. Some exposure to chemicals, hazards, food substances, meat products, equipment operations, noise and adverse temperatures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Must have minimum 2 years fresh meat processing or ready to eat processing or other comparable food related background.
- Must have minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience.
- Proven track record of successful production leadership and results, continuous improvement.
- Must be organized and have good time management skills. Must be able to foresee issues and be proactive in solutions and problem solving.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual
Spanish, Italian are a plus.
Experience
Experience in Cured Meats food industry.
Experience in Ready-To-Eat and Artisan food industry.
