SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The primary focus of this position is to perform repairs and maintenance of the CHEER facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds.
- Knowledge of boilers, generators, air conditioners, heating systems, etc. as required.
- Able to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and handle daily work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Reports and takes direction from the Director of Transportation/Facilities to help maintain buildings and ensure that health and safety standards are met.
- Takes calls as needed for any emergencies which may arise such as fire alarms, snow removal, etc.
- Works special events as needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and must complete a Defensive Driving course.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum requirements for this position are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum five years experience in maintenance of properties, knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning.
- Ability to lift or exert force up to 50 pounds maximum.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to work from a service van.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
REPORTING: This position reports to the Director of Transportation/Facilities.
PRIMARY WORK LOCATION: Most duties and functions will be started at the CHEER Community Center home base for Facilities, although local travel to other CHEER locations is required to support programs and services as required in those locations.
WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30pm PM with 30-minute midday break. Extended work hours are periodically required to support
programs and activities. Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time, nonexempt, hourly.
