We are looking to add an experienced Senior Special Investigator to our team! As a Senior Special Investigator for our Claims Department, you would be primarily responsible for using investigative resources and negotiation skills to ensure accurate processing and pricing for a claim. You would also be providing coverage analysis, investigation, thorough development of damage issues, and detailed resolution plans for claims that service directly correlate with property damage, special investigations, and/or subrogation.
This job may be for you if you are customer driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong investigative and negotiation skills. Must have a strong working knowledge of claims-handling procedures and demonstrate a good understanding of liability, subrogation, and SIU.
This role is an in-office role located in Fort Worth, Texas (76116). Willing to consider experienced candidates from other areas in Texas.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate all detailed facts regarding any submitted claim that includes liability, subrogation, or SIU; recognize the actual amount of overall damages and subrogation recovery and address any potential fraud on the scene.
- Maintain contact with initial witnesses and parties to provide information on liability, claim value, explanation of benefits, and coordination of claims resolution.
- Develop appropriate methods of repair/replacement, verify ownership, and apply any special limitations post-evaluations.
- Coordinate plan of action in a pro-active manner and negotiate the earliest and most cost-effective resolution of claims.
- Coordinate all activities of claims referred for SIU investigations and coordinate the investigative activities of external resources.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement regarding claims, insureds, and/or vendors.
- Establish voice to voice communication within 24-hours, consistently work within specific time limits and authority, and maintain company reputation and integrity by complying with federal and state regulations, company protocol, and service standards.
- May develop and/or train other claim employees in the area of expertise.
Qualifications
- Seven years of related SIU investigation in residential property insurance required, but progressive experience processing property claims is preferred.
- Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent required, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Adjusters License for states in which the Company conducts business.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
